  • Lee Lamb

Lee has been coaching youth volleyball for more than 20 years and has coached locally at Iolani, Maryknoll, Kahuku, and Le Jardin Academy, where he is presently the Head Coach of the Girls Volleyball program. In addition, to coaching at the high school level, Lee has founded multiple youth development organizations and been involved with Aloha Region, a local Regional Volleyball Associations that represents USA Volleyball, as a junior committee member and coordinator of the High-Performance program.

Lee is passionate about coaching and helping young athletes realize their potential. His dedication to the sport and our youth is evident in the results that have been yielded over his 20 years of engagement. Some of the accomplishments include...

Le Jardin Academy - in 2015, Lee's first year heading the program, LJA produced its first team in school history to make the HHSAA Girls Volleyball State Tournament. Teams would make appearances in the Division 2 State Tournament final from 2015 - 2018 and would win back-to-back and 2016 and 2017. In 2019, Le Lardin would make the jump to Division 1 in the ILH and make its 5th consecutive state tournament appearance.

Ka Ulukoa - Lee co-founded Ka Ulukoa in 2007. Since that time Ka Ulukoa teams have been on the medal stand 18 times at National Championships (12 gold, 2 silver, 4 bronze) and finished in the top 10 sixteen times. Ka Ulukoa has also yielded 37 all-tournament selections and 5 all-tournament MVP selections. More than 90% of the athletes that graduate with the program go on to play in college.

Aloha Region High-Performance - Lee was proud to be involved with a program that saw local athletes representing Hawaii with distinction at their annual High-Performance Championship (HPC) tournament, consistently earning medals and garnering attention from national team coaches. Lee was fortunate enough to coach teams on 3 separate years at this event, making the final on 2 of those 3 occasions and winning once.

In 2018, Lee helped the Aloha Region start its international program. Team Hawaii flew to the Philippines to compete in the Rebisco Volleyball League 18U Championships. Both teams would find the media stand with 2nd and 3rd place finishes respectively. Hawaii has since been extended numerous invitations to compete internationally.

Lee loves sharing his knowledge and insight with athletes. He's passionate about seeing kids thrive in the sport they enjoy and often love. He has an eye for the technical aspects of the game and feels strongly that he was born to coach.

Lee's tagline in his emails says it all, "Bettering the lives of the youth we serve."
